Mel Marcelo’s Vector Art

Today, I’m sharing with you all with one great vector artist.. Mel Marcelo, an artist and illustrator from San Diego, USA.
Most designers usually create drawings or graphic illustration using multiple graphic applications, but Marcelo usually create his drawing using detailed outlines in Adobe Illustrator alone which brings stunning quality of vector drawings in the end.

must tracing one by one or you have a quick step to create vektor…

Hi mie!
Normally I would create vector using basic tools like ‘Pen Tool’ in Illustrator. What I see in Marcelo’s vector art is he’s using actual photo of a subject and trace the outline accordingly using pen tool. Later, colors + layers will make the vector drawing more alive similar to actual photo of that subject.

I love Mel Marcelo’s work. I’m wondering how the etching/engraving effect is achieved with either Photoshop or Illustrator…

I would recommend a wacom tablet would do the trick just nice in Illustrator.

Asli haluss.. tp klo trace dr foto asli, kayanya foto perlu kualitas yang tajam ya.. foto dr HP standart bisa ga di trace jd detail kaya gitu..?
