Insight Borneo Van Custom Body Works

van-bodyworks-side-thum01.jpg

This is how it looks like from the start, a standard tour vehicle for 11 passengers and basically use for transfer in and out for tourist. First, the boss of the company was thinking for an airbrush work on the body for some Borneo tribal concept, but since airbrush painting was very expensive for making 4 vehicles all together.. then later, I make a vinyl sticker design of tribal concept for the vehicle’s body which suddenly attracts the boss.

van-bodyworks-side-thum02.jpg

This is how it look after the sticker has been done. The design I make was to place the sticker on both side of the vehicle and some on the front.

van-bodyworks-front.jpg

Here’s how it look on the front where as you can see the website I put on the middle while some tribal pattern from the side continuously came out on the left and right side of the vehicle. As on the rear part, there’s nothing much, only the Hot line number sticked on the rear mirror. If you stayed somewhere in Kota Kinabalu, situated in Sabah, Borneo Malaysia then you’ll witness this one the only gorgeous tour vehicle around driving here and there.

Client : Insight Borneo
Job : Custom Body Sticker
Material : Matt Vinyl
Size : 7′ Length x 3′ Height

Actually I’ve submitted a few designs but the one above is what the company choose. Here are the few designs that I’ve submitted which didn’t catch the boss’s eyes, just want to share with you guys.. Hmm! which one did you think best fit with your favorites?

van-bodyworks-sample-c-thum.jpg

Well.. None of the above three design I like actually.. I’ve made one customized design according to what I want if I was the boss of the company..

Here I present to you all, the most damn gorgeous awesome supadupa tour vehicles in town.. Ha! Ha!

Photoshop Tutorials 02 : Creating a Logo Reflection

Posted by Eshark on Sep 28th, 2007

00.jpg

Hi there.. Welcome again! When you say about music on Mac, everybody will think about iTunes. If you are familiar with iTunes, then you should already knew with this kind of feature where you can view the Music album by scrolling side by side while see the reflections on the lower part. On this tutorial, I’ll share with you guys the same idea on how to create a something like water or mirror reflections of your logo. For this tutorial, I’ll be using my own Eshark Design.

012.jpg

STEP 1 : Open your Logo in a new layer (click the ‘create a new layer’ button on the Layers pallete) and fill the background with Gradient Overlay, any color would do as long as the upper part is lighter while lower part much darker.

a.jpg

STEP 2 : To apply Gradient Overlay for your background, simply click the ‘Add a layer style’ icon on the far left lower part of your Layers pallete (Click Mac: Apple+F7 / PC: Ctrl+F7).

b.jpg

STEP 3 : Click right on the Gradient color swatches and the Gradient Editor will pop up. This where you will choose your gradient color presents you like. For this tutorial, I choose ‘The Moon Bar’ and the roughness is set to 35%.

Tip : set the percentage for Roughness lower for smoother background, set the percentage higher to get the opposite effect.

022.jpg

032.jpg

STEP 4 : Okay! At this point you now have two new layers, one is ‘Logo’ and another one is ‘background’. Next step is to ‘add a layer style’ to the logo which is ‘Outer Glow’. Set the opacity to 50% and for the size is up to you as long it’s not to big. See the effect where the logo has some glow effect from the edges.

052.jpg

STEP 5 : Now, you have to duplicate the Logo to a new layer, to do this.. simply drag the ‘Logo’ layer down to ‘the create a new layer’ button and then name this layer as ‘Reflection’. Of course you cannot see the new Logo since the Logo was overlapping to the old one.

062.jpg

072.jpg

STEP 6 : Next is to drag the new logo which is ‘Reflection’ to the bottom part of the old logo using the ‘Move Tool’ (press v).

Tip : drag while holding Shift key for straight allingment.

Then on the ‘Reflection’ layer selected, go to Edit>Transform>Flip Vertical, this will make the new logo turns the opposite way.. think of a mirror! then you’ll understand.

082.jpg

STEP 7 : Then on the Layers pallete, set the Fill to 20% or less.. and see the effect!091.jpg

102.jpg

STEP 8 : Now, click the Rectangular Marquee Tool (press Shift + M) on the toolbar and make one long oval shape something like this and place it right in between of those two logos. Then go to Select>Inverse, by selecting this, the area that been selected by Rectangular Marquee Tool is been reversed.

11.jpg

12.jpg

STEP 9 : Now your photoshop window will look like something like this. Apply a Feather to the selected area by pressing (Shift+F6) or go to Select>Feather and set the pixels to 15 px.

13.jpg

STEP 10 : Start to press DELETE and you’ll notice the effect… Waalah!!

Keep practicing + play with it! Once you get the rhythms then you’ll become addicted, and once you become addicted to Photoshop.. there’s nothing you CANNOT photoshoped!! He! He! Enjoy everyone….

Here’s another sample for public viewing.. till we meet up next Friday!

Yahoo! + MyBlogLog

Posted by Eshark on Sep 21st, 2007

mybloglog-newfeature-00.jpg

When was the last time you log on to your MyBlogLog account.. when I open mine today, I was so shock that I’ve been asked to log in using my Yahoo! email, usually I prefer to log in using my Gmail and when I get in i noticed that Yahoo! logo was just beside the MyBlogLog logo.. and that time I realised that MyBlogLog has merge with Yahoo!

mybloglog-newfeature-06.jpg

What I’m not satisfied with this merge thing is that I have to update my MyBlogLog account from the start.. I have to change the my user photo and I have to change the user name again since all the profile are set according to your Yahoo! details..

mybloglog-newfeature-01.jpg

Damned lucky the team from MyBlogLog has added a new function to the account which now all users can upload their photos.

mybloglog-newfeature-07.jpg

So I’ve added mine as what my old MyBlogLog represent me before.. so wasted my time doing this update!

mybloglog-newfeature-02.jpg

Plus! you can also add Yahoo! avatar for those who don’t have a Yahoo! avatar on their Yahoo! mail account.. like me!

mybloglog-newfeature-03.jpg

As for the name also you’re been given an option to use your nickname as you want or you can just use your Yahoo! ID.

mybloglog-newfeature-05-new.jpg

Now at least there’s something useful with the emerging thing I might say, this new feature allows you to add your links for your profile at MyBlogLog from over 25 other online community sites, portfolio sites, blogs, Flickr and even YouTube. Wow! that a bonus!!

mybloglog-newfeature-04.jpg

and no changes on the My Home page section.. Urgh!! so many babes around!! yeargh! lets check them out.
